What to Ask Your Hollywood Tour Guide?

Recently NBC LA local TV uncovered disturbing facts related to a federal investigation into the popular Hollywood bus tours.

Tourists from around the world flock to Hollywood daily in search of the “Hollywood Experience”. But what does that even mean? Should it be safe? Should it be accurate? What can you do as a consumer?

My name is Mark Roman. I am a resident of Hollywood. I’m also a professional working performing artist and a member of the Screen Actors Guild (now known as SAG-AFTRA).

I happen to love Hollywood. My hope is that during your Hollywood vacation you get to experience some of the joy I experience daily. Hollywood is where I work, live and often play.

What I’ve found is that many people representing Hollywood do so with a variety of agendas. They will tell you things that may not be entirely honest or helpful. I encourage you to do your research and ask lots of questions.

If not, then perhaps you might consider them.  It’s FREE and it is information that might help you form good questions. So you can get the right answers. For you.

Why am I doing this? I love the idea of Hollywood. Elements of the reality of Hollywood could be improved. Daily I see tourists get caught in the middle. I’d like to change that. In the process, I certainly don’t mind discovering new fans who want to experience my live performances or watch me on film, television, Netflix, Amazon and more.

Whatever you do, please enjoy your stay in Hollywood and thanks for visiting our wonderful town!
